Invariants related to the endomorphisms of an abelian variety $A$ include its endomorphism ring $\textrm{End}(A)$, its endomorphism algebra $\textrm{End}(A)\otimes\Q$, and its real endomorphism algebra $\textrm{End}(A)\otimes\R$, along with their geometric analogues: the endomorphism ring, endomorphism algebra, and real endomoprhism algebra of the base change of $A$ to the algebraic closure of its field of definition.
