The Galois orbit of a newform $f\in S_k^{\rm new}(N,\chi)$ is the set $\{\sigma(f):\sigma\in \mathrm{Gal}(\overline{\Q}/\Q)\}$ of its Galois conjugates; this term may also refer to the subspace of $S_k^{\rm new}(N,\chi)$ spanned by this set.
